STORY SO FAR...
Just a handful of years ago, a whole generation of Rwandan children lived
through tragic events in their country that left many orphaned and deeply
traumatized. Some still carry physical scars on their bodies. Others are deeply
troubled by what they saw at the time. The rest of the world seemed powerless or
unwilling to intervene. Instead, the name of Rwanda became synonymous with civil
war and bitter ethnic hatred.
But God has seen a nation’s distress and has not been idle. Rwanda today is
transformed and the churches are alive with a powerful move of God’s Holy
Spirit. Since 2000, many individual stories have emerged that tell of God’s
miraculous love and power. Some have found healing, know joy in their hearts and
despite what they went through, are daring to hope for the future of this
nation. The songwriters who wrote the songs on this album are among them.

Since 2003, the songs from “Rabagirana Rwanda!” (Arise, Shine Rwanda!), have
been sung in their own language and become well known across the nation of
Rwanda. Now, We Are One! has teamed up with YWAM-Rwanda, and Password
International, S.A. to produce Heal Africa! which brings the message to a wider
audience, and to a whole new group of english speaking African children in South
Africa.
TAKE ONE WEEK...
One week. 20 very different children between the ages of 7 - 14. But as they
sang these songs together, a wonderful transformation came over them. They began
to believe deeply that God truly loves, prizes and values them more than
anything. So, watch out world! Their excitement, belief and enthusiasm for Jesus
simply knows no limits.
